ICONIQA Artbook no. 2 is available for pre-order!

ICONIQA Issue No. 2 arrives this summer, continuing the world we began building with our first issue: a printed art object, a cultural archive, and a visual love letter to LGBTQIA+ creativity in all its forms.

Available July 10, with pre-sales opening May 25, Issue No. 2 brings together artists, performers, image-makers, nightlife figures, cultural voices, and creative forces from around the world. Led by Creative Director Barry Brandon, The Queer Indigo, this next chapter expands ICONIQA’s ongoing vision of Queer Excellence through beauty, resistance, self-invention, intimacy, glamour, and unapologetic presence.

At the center of the issue is Violet Chachki, photographed by Gonza Gallego. Known globally for her precision, discipline, theatricality, and command of image, Violet embodies the visual language of ICONIQA: seductive, controlled, iconic, and uncompromising. Her cover marks a defining moment for the publication, setting the tone for an issue that moves between fashion, performance, nightlife, art, music, dance, photography, and cultural storytelling.

Our debut issue introduced ICONIQA as an independent, ad-free art book rooted in fashion, performance, nightlife, art, and LGBTQIA+ storytelling. Issue No. 2 pushes that vision further, gathering a global cast whose work speaks across disciplines, identities, geographies, and forms of expression.

Inside the issue, readers will find features and stories from humans including, but not limited to:

Ahmad Joudeh, Alicia Delicia, Amber Vineyard, Andromeda, Aya Sato, Bellini Boy, Dianne Brill, Dornika, El Mehdi, James Mac, Jaycie O'Day, Jonzu, Rain Dove, Randhir Singh, Tomás de Almeida, Tony and the Kiki, Virgin X, and more.

Together, these voices help shape an issue that feels both intimate and expansive. ICONIQA Issue No. 2 moves through dance, drag, photography, music, performance, activism, nightlife, cultural authorship, and the many ways LGBTQIA+ people continue to create worlds of our own.

As Barry Brandon writes:

“This publication was never created simply to document struggle. It was created to expand perception. To offer a fuller, more honest, more dimensional view of queer life beyond what has so often been projected onto us. ICONIQA exists to honour our brilliance, our artistry, our resilience, our tenderness, our defiance, and our joy. It exists to say that we are not an afterthought. We are not a footnote. We are not a moment of cultural convenience. We are here, in our fullness, with histories, futures, and identities that deserve to be seen without reduction.”

Pre-orders for ICONIQA Issue No. 2 open May 25, with options for global shipping or local pickup.

ICONIQA has always lived between the page and the room: in the printed image, on the stage, through the crowd, and in the moments where self-expression becomes culture. Issue No. 2 is our next chapter.
